Guided by professional singer songwriter Tanya Wells, you'll dive deep into the art of storytelling and songwriting via guided exercises where you will be prompted to craft memorable lyrics and shape your authentic style.
Whether you're just starting or looking to refine your skills, each session will spark your imagination, encouraging you to go with the flow of your imagination, take creative risks and craft songs, poems and stories to your heart's content.

Your Instructor
Tanya Wells is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter celebrated for her versatility and mastery of diverse musical traditions. Her flexible vocal style and her ability to draw inspiration from both western and eastern musical landscapes has given her opportunities to perform with world renown artists such as sitarist Anoushka Shankar (Cannes Film festival 2014), soul singer Joss Stone (Mama Stones 2013), Arabic vocalist Natacha Atlas (Ronnie Scotts 2016 and Pully Jazz 2019) as well as lay down vocals for award winning film composers such as A.R. Rahman and Nitin Sawhney.
Furthermore she has written several original songs under her band Seven Eyes, collaborating with award winning British cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason who released the songs as singles (Whisperings & Icarus) in 2024 with Decca Classics, Universal Publishing.
In addition to performing and writing, Tanya shares her expertise through online singing lessons and coaching, helping aspiring artists find their own voices. Her work as a solo artist and collaborator continues to bridge cultural and musical boundaries, making her an inspiring force in the global music scene.

Inspiration for writing lies all around us, everyday. From flicking through books sitting on your shelf to eavesdropping on conversations on the bus on your journey home, there is a wealth of content that can inspire and enhance the content of your writing.
Write it
Don't think too much about it. Don't worry about the end result. Just write and you'll be surprised how naturally you are able to flow into your writing.
Craft and refine
Now you've written. Read it back. Is there anything you can tweak, take out, or add to make the content flow or rest better? Whether you've written a story, a poem, a song, a play, come back to it to refine it. Also, this can be a moment to share it with others to see how it reads or the impression it gives.
